Last year, she and her husband Nicolas tested positive for marijuana use and had their visa request denied in Mexico. Then her papa-in-law passed. And now her pooch a Pomeranian she named Miranda Rubio Dosamantes has died. Just how close were Paulina, mistress and Miranda pet? Let’s look at this excerpt from a press release and get an idea:

Mi TRL Awards Glam

MTV’s first edition of Mi TRL Awards went down last night. in New York City’s Time Square. The evening was Mc’ed by Carlos Santos and Karli Henriquez and peformers for the night included RBD (Pepsi Viewer’s Choice winners), Paulina Rubio (Female Artist of the Year winner), Zuleyka Rivera, Menudo, and Juanes (won for Male Artist of the year). Adrienne Bailon’s outfit was bangin’. Oh, and the other winners of the Gallo awards were: George Lopez (Best Actor), Wisin y Yandel (Best Performance).

Paulina Rubio Tests Positive for Marijuana

Mexican pop diva Paulina Rubio and her husband Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera went to the Mexican consulate to apply for U.S. residency and as part of procedure had to take drug tests. Test results showed that Paulinita and Nicolas are, well, are one doped-out couple. Paulina tested positive for marijuana while Nicolas’s results revealed the same in addition to ecstasy and cocaine. Dios mio! Benny Ibarra, Paulina’s former bandmate in Timbiriche, came to her defense. Birds of a feather, flock together and usually defend each other, it seems.
