Golden Globe nominations are in.
Alberto Iglesias was nominated for Best Original Score for the Marc Forster drama The Kite Runner. Shakira is up for a Best Original Song trophy for her work alongside Brazilian music composer Antonio Pinto for the haunting “Despedia” for the soundtrack of the film Love in the Time of Cholera . The film has of course opened to mixed (but mostly unfavorable) reviews, so so glad something great is coming out of this for the crew who put so much into the film. America Ferrera was also nominated for her work as the title character in “Ugly Betty” in the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category, and Javier Bardem as Best Supporting Actor for his role in No Country for Old Men. Congrats senores y mujeres.
